51st Moonsund Regatta has become the history
The largest and most known regatta in Estonia - Muhu Väina/Moonsund - took place from 13th until 19th of July 2008
This year 87 yachts with 531 sailors took part from the regatta. In the first or the biggest yachts’ group 12, in second group 28, in third group 34 and in LYS group 13 yachts. 3 yachts from Latvia, 8 from Russia, 1 from Poland and 1 yacht from Finland made this regatta international. The distance of the regatta Roomassaare-Sõru-Lehtma-Dirhami-Tallinn-Tallinn circle covered 210-275 nautical miles depending on the group.
Moonsund Regatta was also the second race of the Offshore Estonian Cup series, where the Offshore Estonian champions in class ORC cleared up.
